KOTA KINABALU, June 20 (Bernama) -- The Warisan Harta Sabah Group (WHS) today handed over business tithe amounting to RM1.27 million to the Sabah Zakat Centre.

WHS chairman Datuk Ramlee Marahaban said the amount was a cumulation of contributions from WHS including its subsidiaries and affiliated companies, namely Common Tower Technologies Sdn Bhd, Angkatan Hebat Sdn Bhd and Celcom Timur Sabah Sdn Bhd.
"For last year, WHS Group managed to achieve a strong financial performance and this is conveyed through our zakat contribution today," he said in his speech at the presentation and breaking of fast ceremony organised by the company here, today.
The presentation of the business tithe to Sabah Islamic Religious Council president, Datuk Mohamad Suhaili Said was witnessed by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman.
Ramlee expressed confidence that the zakat contribution would increase in future in line with the group's corporate social responsibility programme framework and excellent performance of its subsidiaries and affiliated companies which were constantly monitored.
